Kevin is a find. I agreed to write this letter of recommendation because I know how difficult it can be find a contractor. Kevin is extraordinary for a number of reasons.
Trust, I would leave Kevin or any of his team in my house anytime, absolutely no worries about leaving keys, so I don’t always need to be here to let him in.
Clear agreements, Kevin spells everything out in simple clear terms. I know exactly what I am agreeing to, both in terms of time and money. If there are add-ons or changes along the way I know what it will cost me and I get a reliable estimate of how much time it will take to complete the job.
Competence, this is simple to describe. Kevin’s very skilled. Every job is finished perfectly. And he makes sure things are cleaned up too! He’s neat and ordered in his approach to any job he’s ever done for me.
Dependability, LHI arrives when he says they will arrive. If there is any change in schedule, I know in plenty of time. I can plan my life around the inevitable disruption that renovations create because I can depend on the timetable Kevin has agreed to.
Likable, Kevin is a likable, honest, and genuine guy who is easy to talk to and has a respectful approach to all negotiations and brainstorming that go along with the work.
I’d hire this guy to do anything related to construction from painting to carpentry and beyond. It’s a great relief to have found someone as skilled and reliable as Kevin Labbe.

Kevin refinished a family heirloom mirror frame for me as well as a bureau top that had been damaged. In both cases, the items came back breathtakingly beautiful. Kevin listened to what I wanted done and even offered suggestions on how to simultaneously bring out the woodwork detail and reduce the cost for me of labor. He stayed in touch faithfully, kept his appointments, and finished the work on schedule.
All this besides, he’s a friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy person. After a couple of experiences with carpenters who vanished, I went out on a limb to try Kevin, and was amply rewarded with gorgeous wood pieces that I am proud to have in my home.
